If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can’t survive.

Fallon Stapleton, LCSW, counselor and therapist in Davidson, North Carolina who offers Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Brainspotting to adolescents and adults.

I have always wanted to be a healer. I spent many hours of my youth volunteering, babysitting, helping new moms, tutoring… you name it. If there was a way for me to help other people, I was doing it. From an early age, I realized I loved showing up for people and trying to meet their needs.

I have worked in many settings, including group homes, hospitals, hospice, schools, shelters, and even onboard Navy warships. Each one of these settings has taught me that healing is possible when you build a strong relationship with someone who is hurting or suffering.

I love helping people build a life they love.

So what is your niche or specialty?

I get this question a lot! You may have a very specific concern bringing you to therapy right now, and you’ve been searching for a counselor who will understand what you’re going through, or who has experience with the season of life you’re in. I would call myself a generalist. My training in psychodynamic therapy allows me the flexibility to work with anyone who feels I am the right fit for them or their teen and I see clients ages 13 and up.

Over the years that I have been doing mental health counseling, I have found that sometimes traditional talk therapy doesn’t quite feel like enough. While establishing a trusting relationship is absolutely vital to our healing, we need actual tools and skills to help alleviate anxiety, improve depression, and release trauma from the body. When working with me in therapy, you can expect me to weave in techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Brainspotting. I have specialized training in each of these modalities that helps inform my practice.

This Sounds like a good fit for me
